What is Seethawaka Odyssey Train?
Seethawaka Odyssey, is a weekend special train operated from Colombo Fort to Waga Railway Station (Before Avissawella Station). This is the latest addition to the Sri Lanka railway network, and this will greatly help to enhance the travel & tourism sector of Sri Lanka. Seethawaka Odyssey special train has started today 15 January 2023 and will be operated every Sunday. (No of days will be increased lated depend on the demand but as of 15 Jan 23, train will be operated only Sundays. Seethawaka Odyssey train will be operated on Kelani Valley railway line.

Seethawaka Odyssey Train Schedule 

• Colombo to Waga - Every Sunday 7.00 AM  from Colombo Fort reaching Waga 9.35 AM  
• Waga to Colombo – Every Sunday 5.35 PM from Waga 

 

 

Seethawaka Odyssey Train Ticket Prices 

• First Class Air Condition – 800 Sri Lankan Rupees 
• Second Class – 600 Sri Lankan Rupees

There are 3 ways to book your Seethawaka Odyssey Train as below. Note – Tickets can be reserved 30 days prior to travel. 

• Directly from main railway stations 
• Mobitel M Ticketing Service 30 days prior to travel date (This is 24 Hrs service). You can book Seethawaka Odyssey train from your mobile phone (Only Mobitel Lines) by dialing 365 hotline. Make sure you have sufficient credits in your Mobile phone account to pay the ticket price. 
• Seethawaka Odyssey Train Ticket online booking – This facility also available and you can book your odyssey train by accessing Sri Lanka Railway Department website through https://seatreservation.railway.gov.lk/mtktwebslr/ 
• For tourists - Book Seethawaka Odyssey train through your travel agency in Sri Lanka. But if you are already start your holiday in Sri Lanka, you may use one of above 3 options.
