Expeditions has very young fully owned fleet of vehicles, ranging from luxury coaches to mini & micro coaches, luxury cars , 4 wheel drive luxury jeeps etc. The vehicles themselves are all less than a year old and have been maintained to the highest standards.
Our fleet of eco-friendly vehicles and our hand-picked team of drivers, ensure that our guests travel in utmost comfort / security and they are well aware of destinations and ancient sites, as well as knowing the best and most scenic routes, and the locations of the most suitable refreshment and comfort stops.
After serving 16 years in different industries, Chandrika finally landed as our head of operational team and serving to Ceylon Expeditions since 2012 taking care of entire operational matters from the time of enquiry until departure.Having been in travel for close to a decade now, Chandrika is keen to share the beauty of the island she calls home. She loves tented camping / train journeys and enjoys reading translations during her spare time.
Having previously worked in the Finance sector in freight forwarding & banking sector, Shani joined with Ceylon Expeditions Team as a Finance Controller who is taking are of entire finance matters while supporting in fully to the day to operation. She loves exploring the wildlife and explore the unexplored treasure of Island Sri Lanka.
Dr. Mahesh PhD did his BSc. Degree in Natural science and then did his MPhil and followed with a PhD in Paleo-Biodiversity He did his doctorate degree program at post graduate institute of archaeology and research. He also got a MA. (Buddhism, Ayurveda & Psychology) and a Pg. Dip (Buddhism, Ayurveda & Psychology). Dr Mahesh followed a Dip in Paleo-Biodiversity and a Certificate in Wild Life Management & Conservation.
Sunil (The Monkey Master) is originally from southern part of the country and finally landed in Polonnaruwa with all necessary professional qualifications to be a naturalist including Bachelor of Science Degree in order to research and live with primates. Sunil is specialize in Botany, Zoology & Geography from University of Peradeniya and also he has completed course in wildlife Conservation and Management course at Makerere university field biology research station at Kibale National park, Uganda and a Diploma in Environmental Journalism conducted by the Asian Journalism forum, Sri Lanka.
Having previously worked as an Asst Director in Film Industry, Isanka is now firmly landed in the travel industry and she is a BSc graduate of Travel & Tourism from University of Colombo. Also she has served as a National Tourist Gide for UK market with few leading Travel Companies in Sri Lanka. She is an expert of adventure / hiking / camping / rafting & snorkeling.
Dr. Nishantha is having a vast knowledge in climatology and vegetations types of Sri Lanka. His expert knowledge of geology, geography and vegetation of knuckles range is hard to match. An analysis of the role of cultural tourism on regional development of the North central province of Sri Lanka shows his deep understanding of this less privileged province of Sri Lanka. He served as a lecturer at Rajarata university some time and currently working as a senior lecturer at University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
He is breathing with wild for decades while serving as a professionally qualified nature based travel designer. He has started to distribute the knowledge he grabbed to the Nature Tourism industry by working with Ceylon Expeditions as a consultant / Naturalist and Nature guide as well. Dharmin is a Tourist Board approved National Tourist Guide Lecture.
Bope is one of the Ceylon Expedition’s Top grade Tour Designer for Sri Lanka adventure and nature area and he is having a sound knowledge of bird watching and Butterflies. He is an all-round Naturalist with over 12 years’ experience in field. Bope is a qualified National Tourist Guide Lecturer who passed out from Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management & was an ex hotelier who was a Graduate from SLITHM (Later Ceylon Hotel School).
