SriLankan Airlines, the National Carrier of Sri Lanka, unveils flights to the French capital, Paris. SriLankan‛ s new service will operate scheduled flights between Colombo International Airport (BIA) and France‛s Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) with effect from 1st November 2021.
SriLankan Airlines would commence thrice weekly, non-stop flights to France every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday using a fleet of Airbus A330-300 aircraft configured for 269 economy and 28 business class seats. The flight time is around 11 hours and 25 minutes., and Flight UL563 is scheduled to depart Colombo at 00:35 hrs., and arrive in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 07:30 hrs.
France is contributing a reasonable portion of total tourist arrival in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is looking for a better post covid tourism boom and this will be a very good decision to enhance the tourist arrivals. Also Sri Lanka is consist with French speaking guides and other tourism sector staff to cater for French tourist who are on their holiday in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is south Asian tourism hotspot for wildlife holidays / Buddhist pilgrimage tours / family holidays / honeymoon holidays and also booming wheelchair accessible holidays together with wellness holidays.
